Based in The Further Education and Training Centre, in the Enterprise Centre. Drumshanbo, the Vocational Training and Opportunities Scheme (VTOS), under the auspices of the Mayo Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board (MSLETB), provides QQI Level 5 certified courses to unemployed people, with a view to helping people upskill, retrain, gain employment or go onto further/higher education.

These courses are free of charge, allowing students to retain their existing social welfare payments (for more information see the Eligibility section in the About tab) whilst on the course.  There is also funding available for childcare, through the National Childcare Scheme.  The centre itself is easily accessible with a diverse, inclusive learning environment.  Work experience opportunities can be found locally, whilst we also offer students the opportunity to work in a European country under the Erasmus+ programme.
